Chapter History

Our story began on May 19, 2013, when nine Radiant LadieZ crossed over into the land of Peach and Black. These nine women from diverse backgrounds all had one thing in common - the desire for an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity. Each of them wanted to bond with like-minded individuals and make a difference on campus, so these women came together and worked long and hard to found the sophisticated Sigma Chapter of Zeta Sigma Chi at UC Davis. These LadieZ established a truly Radiant sisterhood that continues to grow and flourish, a sisterhood that lasts a lifetime.

National History

Zeta Sigma Chi was founded on March 3, 1991 at the Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Our Mommy Chis are the eight amazing women who founded this Radiant sorority. They envisioned a sisterhood that would unite all women of diverse backgrounds and encourage sisters to achieve success in higher education and their future careers. As one of the oldest established intercollegiate Multicultural sororities in the nation, Zeta Sigma Chi provides a vigorous and innovative organization to its members and the community. This organization prides itself with the incorporation of the following principles: Education, Success, Culture, Service, and Sisterhood.
