I am a future veterinarian from Woodland, CA. I enjoy the summer time, hanging out with friends, and outdoor activities, such as swimming and camping. I also love to sing. I began to get involved in the community service-based organization Mujeres Ayudando la Raza (MAR) as a 2nd year at UC Davis. I loved working with so many amazing people to help the local community, and I felt like I finally found that sense of belonging, which was difficult in such a large campus. I never thought that I would join a sisterhood, but I decided to join Zeta Sigma Chi during my 4th and last year at UC Davis after seeing the diversity, dedication to social justice, and the sisters' confidence that made this organization so Radiant. I am so happy I made the decision to be a part of a sisterhood that provides a support group both on a local and national level. In the future, I want to help diversify the field of veterinary medicine and make veterinary services more available in underprivileged communities.
