My name is Sofia Gabriela Perez, and I am the Quad of Sigma Chapter’s Alpha Line :) One day I was at the Quad (hehe…) at UC Davis and seen sisters strolling, and I thought, “They’re so cute in their Peach & Black! Who are these girls?” The next week I approached their table and came to find out that Zeta Sigma Chi was new to our campus. I spent my first 2 years of college doing absolutely nothing and continuously telling myself, “I need to get involved on campus…but how?!” I felt alone on campus and missed the Bay Area. I wanted/needed something that reminded me of home, and Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. provided that for me because of what we stand for and the diversity we show within our sisterhood. Joining Zeta Sigma Chi has probably been the best decision I’ve made in college so far; it’s changed me for the better, bringing confidence in me that I was longing for, and I never felt so welcomed and loved by a group of women. I’m now more open to things than I ever was before, and I’m not afraid to be myself and stand up for myself. On June 1st, 2014, I crossed into the radiant land of Peach & Black, and I’m proud to call myself a Z-Chi <3
